Tony Escamilla will examine how to reinforce estate structures and landscapes against environmental threats such as fire, hurricanes, and earthquakes. He will explain how inspections support risk planning and how specific design features can reduce exposure and improve long-term resilience.

Catherine P. Foster will focus on incorporating high-value art, antiquities and other cultural assets into emergency planning. She will walk through the process of assessing risk, identifying and documenting items for protection, and safeguarding your collection in the face of an emergency situation.

Kristin Twiford and Shelby Boudreau will discuss the importance of pre-planning for both large scale and everyday emergencies. They will address how to distribute critical information during a crisis, set up permissions, and access information remotely.

Captain Dean Viana will outline the tools and preparation needed to equip estate teams for emergency response. He will cover training and drills, along with strategies for maintaining readiness and staff confidence through scheduled refreshers.

Jason Funaro will focus on what it takes to activate and execute an emergency plan. He will explain how decisions flow in the moment, the role of pre-staged vendors, and how to manage roles, communications, and escalation while events are unfolding in real time.

Inventory as a Recovery Tool
Ken Aaron will explain why inventory plays a critical role after a disaster. He will cover what information estate managers need to gather, how inventory supports insurance claims and legal clarity, and how to coordinate recovery efforts with removal teams and adjusters.
Recouping the Losses – Insurance & Financial Recovery
Thomas Sikora will be sharing insight into the insurance recovery process following an estate loss or damages. Their guidance includes reviewing policies, navigating claims, and negotiating with carriers to secure fair compensation.
Emergency Blueprint Learning Lab
The Emergency Blueprint Lab is a hands-on learning session where Estate Managers work with peer facilitators and exhibitors to build their emergency planning blueprint. Exhibitors share real-world solutions for risk mitigation, response coordination, and property protection; helping attendees identify resources that can be integrated into their estate’s emergency plans.
