Catherine is a founding partner of Argus Cultural Property Consultants, a global risk management firm dedicated to protecting and preserving fine art, antiquities, and other cultural assets. She is a trained archaeologist and former museum curator with two decades of experience in collections management, university teaching, excavations, and federal service in support of cultural heritage preservation. As executive director of the U.S. Department of State’s Cultural Heritage Coordinating Committee, Catherine led 16 federal agencies in efforts to protect cultural heritage at-risk from political instability, armed conflict, and disasters. She has developed and led numerous complex protection initiatives involving police, ministries of culture, NGOs, and cultural institutions to safeguard collections and heritage sites.

She will walk through the process of assessing risk, identifying and documenting items for protection, and safeguarding your collection in the face of an emergency situation.
